HP United U14 Girls are Northers Youth Cup CHAMPIONS!

Our Huron Perth United U14 Girls are Northers Youth Cup Champions! Our girls become the first champions in club history with an impressive 1-0 victory over a strong Stratford team.

Our girls came into the Northers Youth Cup Finals on the back of a very strong season in which they were runners up at the First on the Turf Tournament and were 3rd place in their league.

HPU were dominant in the first half, applying lots of pressure and hunting for an opening goal. Minutes from the end of the half, the deadlock was broken via a top corner finish from Ava Howe-Bahri! HPU went into half-time up 1-0. The second half was a flip of the script with Stratford attacking hard to find the levelling goal. Our girls dug in defensively and held the opposition at bay for the second half. With minutes remaining and a Stratford shot heading for the back of the goal, defender Dakota Bakker was the hero as she made a big sprint to clear the ball off the line!

The club is unbelievably proud of this amazing group for all of their accomplishments this season and for this cup victory. Forever first, forever champions. Congratulations girls!
