Learn more about our Club Team Program below.

Technical Skill Development

We're committed to developing great soccer players through quality training sessions & competition in a year-round capacity. Our program follows the Ontario Soccer Grassroots Standards & the Long-Term Athlete Development Framework.

Quality Coaching

All Huron Perth United coaches are qualified through Ontario Soccer, Canada Soccer, or equivalent courses. We seek out coaches with a strong soccer background & commitment to the game.

Character Development

Our commitment to development extends far beyond the pitch. We believe sport provides a unique opportunity to instil positive character attributes, establish a sense of belonging and create community/friendships that will last a lifetime.

Safe Sport

We're committed to providing a safe environment for youth to participate in soccer at a high level. All coaches undergo safe sport training & the club empathizes our safe sport policies.

Competition

Our teams will compete in the Southwest District Soccer League, with the potential to gain promotion to the Western Region Soccer League (U13+). These leagues provide the opportunity to compete at a high-level against some of the highest quality teams in our region.

Top Notch Facilities

As a division of Between the Lines Sports, Huron Perth United receives unparalleled access to one of rural Ontario's only indoor turf fields.

Outdoors, we play at great local fields in Listowel, including Spinrite Field.

Club Team Season

September - Open Assessments

Assessment dates are TBA. These sessions provide players with the opportunity to be assessed by HPU coaches & potentially invited to join a club team for the upcoming season.

January to April -

2 X Training or Match Per Week

Training ramps up after the winter break with teams being allotted 2 blocks of field time per week. These will consist of either 2 training sessions or 1 training session & 1 match per week.

November to December -

1 X Training Per Week

Following team selection, the training calendar begins. Teams will train once per week prior to the winter break. Training schedules are TBA.

May to August - Outdoor

(2 X Training + 1 Match Per Week)

This is what we work all year towards, the outdoor season! Teams will train up to twice a week with 1 match or festival each week.

HP United does not want cost to be the barrier that keeps a keen player out of the soccer action. We're happy to work with families with financial need to access funding support. The following fee assistance programs are available to families in our area:

Jumpstart

Learn more and apply for Jumpstart funding at jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants

North Perth Sports for Kids Fund

Fuel the Game Foundation

The foundation aims to subsidize the costs of youth local sports, ensuring that all kids have the opportunity to play sports without being limited by financial constraints. We believe that every child deserves the chance to participate in sports and reap the countless benefits it offers, from physical health to personal development.
